Abstract (English): Although in the Old Regime a clear gender hierarchy placed women below men, when studying their economic practices, it is evident that such ideals sometimes did not operate in a rigorous way. Gender, demographics, life trajectories, spatial variations, and economics impacted on the roles played by them. The article analyzes the characteristics, logical and ways in which a group of women, under different roles, were involved in the lending activity of Salta (Argentina) at the end of the eighteenth century. A space that was perceived as masculinized in this ancient order society, governed by patriarchal customs and norms. The survey of unpublished notarial sources, together with the elaboration of series, the analysis of social networks, the historiographic reflection and the gender perspective, allow to unveil today, for the first time, their participation in the credit networks of this nodal economy of the viceroyalty of the Silver river. Abstract (Spanish): Si bien en el Antiguo Régimen una clara jerarquía de género colocaba a las mujeres por debajo de los varones, al estudiar sus prácticas económicas, se evidencia que tales ideales, en ocasiones, no operaron de modo riguroso. El género, la demografía, trayectorias de vida, variaciones espaciales y la economía impactaron en los roles desempeñados por ellas. El artículo analiza las características, las lógicas y los modos en los cuales, un grupo de mujeres, bajo diferentes roles, se involucraron en la actividad crediticia de Salta (Argentina) a fines del siglo xviii. Un espacio que se percibió masculinizado en esta sociedad de antiguo orden, regida por costumbres y normas patriarcales. El revelamiento de fuentes notariales inéditas, junto a la elaboración de series, el análisis de redes sociales, la reflexión historiográfica y la perspectiva de género, permiten revelar hoy, por primera vez, su participación en las redes crediticias de esta economía nodal del virreinato del Río de la Plata.
