Abstract: Este ensayo se propone estudiar la forma en que el concepto de revolución se plasmó en tres revistas cubanas de los años 60. Editadas en una perfecta sucesión diacrónica, Lunes de Revolución (1959–1961), Cuba Socialista (1961–1967) y Pensamiento Crítico (1967–1971) son fuentes ineludibles para el estudio de ese proceso de conceptualización. A diferencia de otras publicaciones, como Casa de las Américas o La Gaceta de Cuba , que por ser más institucionales se volvieron permanentes y se acomodaron a las diversas fases de la ideología del nuevo Estado, estas tres revistas intentaron captar un sentido específico del concepto de Revolución cubana. Su estudio resulta imprescindible para reconstruir la semántica diversa del cambio revolucionario en Cuba, durante los años 60, y su sometimiento, para inicios de la década siguiente, a la hegemonía discursiva del socialismo real. Cada una de aquellas tres revistas formuló su propio sentido narrativo y teórico de la revolución y lo expuso en la esfera pública de la isla con el fin de ofrecer una vía de legitimación simbólica al naciente Estado. This essay analyzes how the concept of revolution was reflected in three Cuban journals of the 1960s. Edited in a perfect diachronic succession, Lunes de Revolución (1959–1961), Cuba Socialista (1961–1967), and Pensamiento Crítico (1967–1971) are unavoidable sources for the study of the process of this conceptualization. Other publications, such as Casa de las Américas or La Gaceta de Cuba , were linked to institutions, became permanent, and accommodated different phases of the ideology of the new state. The three magazines studied here tried to capture the concept of the Cuban Revolution in their own specific ways. Their study is essential to reconstructing the diverse semantics of revolutionary change in Cuba during the 1960s and exploring how, in the following decade, that variety succumbed to the discursive hegemony of real socialism. Each of these magazines articulated a narrative of the revolution, inserted it in the public sphere, and offered a path to the symbolic legitimization of the nascent state. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
