Abstract (English): The depictions of art in Classical Antiquity are usually analyzed as a sublime expression of masters whose creations took place in the historical context of the Greek and Roman world, with great influence on the history of the subsequent art. In this article, however, beyond artistic achievements, it is considered to what extent those representations also reflected a series of values specific to the context, diverse, in which they originated and to what. extent, as result of their survival and reception. Throughout history, they have influenced the thinking of Western civilization. From this perspective, some of the themes that were the object of representation, of great boom in the arts, are analyzed, highlighting certain values of Classical Antiquity and their degree of impact on today's society. Abstract (Spanish): Las representaciones del arte en la Antigüedad Clásica suelen ser analizadas como expresión sublime de maestros cuyas creaciones tuvieron lugar en el contexto histórico del mundo griego y romano, con gran influjo en la historia del arte posterior. En este artículo, más allá de los logros artísticos, se plantea hasta qué punto aquellas representaciones reflejaban además una serie de valores propios del contexto, diverso, en el que fueron originadas y en qué medida, como resultado de su pervivencia y recepción a lo largo de la historia, han influido en el pensamiento de la civilización occidental. Desde esta perspectiva, se analizan algunos de los temas objeto de representación que gozaron de mayor auge en las artes, poniendo de manifiesto determinados valores de la Antigüedad Clásica y su grado de impacto en la sociedad actual.
