| Abstract (English): | This article addresses the importance of art as a promoter of values and social transformation in Colombia. It highlights the country's rich cultural and linguistic diversity, as well as its natural resources threatened by an unsustainable development model. The author affirms that social problems such as the armed conflict, economic inequality and drug trafficking, began to be part of the culture alongside folklore and traditional peasant cultures. The text highlights the role of art in denouncing these problems and raising awareness to preserve the country's cultural and environmental wealth. It mentions concrete experiences in which art has contributed to reconciliation, healing and the construction of a culture of peace. In general, the author shows how art can be a powerful instrument for generating social change, fostering reconciliation and promoting values such as solidarity, justice and peaceful coexistence. | Abstract (Spanish): | El artículo aborda la importancia del arte como promotor de valores y transformación social en Colombia. Destaca la diversidad cultural y lingüística del país, así como su riqueza natural, amenazada por un modelo de desarrollo insostenible. Afirma que problemas sociales como el conflicto armado, la desigualdad económica y el narcotráfico comenzaron a formar parte de la cultura junto al folclore y las culturas tradicionales campesinas. El texto destaca el papel del arte en la denuncia de estos problemas y en la sensibilización para preservar la riqueza cultural y ambiental del país. Se mencionan experiencias concretas en las que el arte ha contribuido a la reconciliación, la sanación y la construcción de una cultura de paz. En general, el artículo muestra cómo el arte puede ser un poderoso instrumento para generar cambios sociales, fomentar la reconciliación y promover valores como la solidaridad, la justicia y la convivencia pacífica.
