| Abstract (English): | Elena Soriano Jara is part of the roster of female writers from the Spanish mid-twentieth century. A group of authors whose writings defied the stiff precepts of Franco's regime and who had been, for the most part, banished from history. This article seeks to recover Elena Soriano's character through an overview of both her vital and literary trajectories extracted from her own texts and the very little documents that have been written about her. Throughout a review of her novels, her papers and her statements, a thorough analysis of her life course is raised in order to place her in history as the brave, unbridled and committed woman she always was. | Abstract (Spanish): | Elena Soriano Jara forma parte de la nómina de escritoras pertenecientes al medio siglo xx español. Un grupo de autoras que escribieron desafiando los rígidos preceptos del régimen franquista y que han sido, en su mayoría, borradas de la historia. Este artículo busca recuperar la figura de Elena Soriano mediante el repaso de su trayectoria literaria y vital desde los propios escritos de la autora y las escasas aproximaciones que existen a su figura. A través de un recorrido por sus novelas, sus ensayos y sus declaraciones, se plantea una revisión de los principales episodios de su vida para situarla en la historia como la mujer valiente, transgresora y comprometida con la literatura y con el mundo que fue.
