The World Bank has intensified its contribution to the response to forced displacement, providing financing to support host countries and promoting the inclusion of refugee populations in national systems. Through the Service for Receiving Communities and Refugees, the World Bank works directly with host governments to define development needs and priority areas for investment. However, there are challenges in coordinating with humanitarian organizations and in the meaningful participation of refugees to ensure that investments have a tangible impact on their lives and host communities.
