Abstract (English):	The OSCE plays a key role in promoting global peace and stability, especially in Europe, but also in other regions. Initially founded as a Conference in 1975, the OSCE adopted a comprehensive approach to security based on three dimensions: political and military security, economic and environmental cooperation, and human rights and humanitarian affairs. This structure seeks to address security problems from multiple perspectives, recognizing that peace depends not only on military strength, but also on economic, social and environmental factors. The OSCE has been successful in several mediation and observation missions, promoting dialogue and cooperation in conflict-ridden areas such as the Balkans, the Caucasus and Central Asia. However, its capacity to intervene is limited by a lack of resources, a consensus-based decision-making structure, and rivalry among its most influential members, especially in the context of increasing geopolitical polarization. Abstract (Spanish):	ELa OSCE juega un papel clave en la estabilidad y promoción de la paz globales, especialmente en Europa, pero también en otras regiones. Fundada inicialmente como la Conferencia sobre la Seguridad y la Cooperación en Europa (CSCE) en 1975, la OSCE adoptó un enfoque integral de seguridad basado en tres dimensiones: seguridad política y militar, cooperación económica y medioambiental, y derechos humanos y asuntos humanitarios. Esta estructura busca abordar los problemas de seguridad desde múltiples perspectivas, reconociendo que la paz no depende solo de la fuerza militar, sino también de factores económicos, sociales y ambientales. La OSCE ha tenido éxito en varias misiones de mediación y observación, promoviendo el diálogo y la cooperación en áreas conflictivas como los Balcanes, el Cáucaso y Asia Central. Sin embargo, su capacidad de intervención se ve limitada por la falta de recursos, la estructura de toma de decisiones basada en el consenso, y la rivalidad entre sus miembros más influyentes, especialmente en el contexto de la creciente polarización geopolítica.
