| Abstract (English): |
This research analyzes the cultural principles and values that guide good living for the Tseltal of Oxchuc, Chiapas, Mexico, with analysis of local categories. Through Grounded Theory, Constant Comparative Method and Action Research, empirical data was obtained and categorized in the native Tseltal language. Data was then linked to the theoretical concepts of cultural principles and values, good living and social change. The study's purpose is to investigate the principles and cultural values that guide good living in the family, community, territorial and municipal dimensions. It is concluded that these principles and values not only support good living in the community, but also guide the sociopolitical organization, conflict resolution, functioning of local government, leadership bases and social change of the Tseltal people of Chiapas. Esta investigación analiza los principios y valores culturales que orientan el buen vivir tseltal de Oxchuc, Chiapas, México, mediante categorías locales. Por medio de la teoría fundamentada, método comparativo constante e investigación-acción, se obtuvieron los datos empíricos y se categorizaron en lengua originaria tseltal, los cuales se vincularon con los conceptos teóricos de principios y valores culturales, el buen vivir y el cambio social. El propósito es investigar los principios y valores culturales que orientan el buen vivir en las dimensiones familiar, comunitaria, territorial y municipal. Se concluye que dichos principios y valores no sólo sustentan el buen vivir comunitario, sino orientan la organización sociopolítica, la resolución de conflictos, la función del gobierno local, las bases del liderazgo y el cambio social del pueblo tseltal de Chiapas.
