Abstract (English):	This paper analyzes Cecilia Grierson's contributions to the field of domestic education starting on two events that involved her: the report she prepared about her study trip in Europe (1899-1900) and the experience of Technical School for the Homekeeping in Buenos Aires at the beginning of the 20th century. The female education model promoted by her fits into a series of concerns shared by pedagogues, feminist, university graduates, charitable societies and intellectuals. In that social and political context, there is a shared concern to improve health conditions of the population in general, reduce infant mortality and expand a model of salaried work based on female domesticity. Grierson's strategy focuses on the role of women in daily life reproduction: supporting the domestic role and their responsibility in taking care of the family nucleus. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish):	Este artículo analiza los aportes de Cecilia Grierson al campo de la educación doméstica a partir de dos aristas que la involucraron: el informe que elaboró sobre el viaje de estudios realizado a Europa (1899-1900) y la experiencia de Escuela Técnica del Hogar en Buenos Aires durante los primeros años del siglo xx. El formato de educación femenina promovida por esta educadora encuadra en una serie de preocupaciones compartidas por referentes de la pedagogía, feministas, universitarias, sociedades de beneficencia e intelectuales. Se trata de un contexto social y político en el que se percibe una preocupación por mejorar las condiciones sanitarias de la población en general, reducir la mortalidad infantil y expandir un modelo de trabajo asalariado sobre la base de la domesticidad femenina. Para ello, la estrategia esgrimida apunta a reforzar y jerarquizar el rol de las mujeres en la reproducción de la vida cotidiana: apuntalar el rol doméstico y su responsabilidad en el cuidado del núcleo familiar.
