| Abstract (English): | The text focuses on the presentation of the book *Gabriela Mistral. Three Poems of Desolation before the Silence of God*, published in commemoration of the eightieth anniversary of the Nobel Prize in Literature awarded to Gabriela Mistral. This work is the result of an interdisciplinary project funded by the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile, which analyzes the experience of peace and faith in suffering as reflected in *Desolation* (1922), a collection of poems and prose that express the dialogue between human pain and the silent presence of God. The book includes three dialogues: the selected poems, illustrations of the Elqui Valley, and a poetic echo, highlighting the relationship between beauty, mercy, and spiritual consolation in Mistral’s work. Additionally, it emphasizes the importance of her pedagogical and cultural legacy in Chile, as well as the profound connection between her poetry, Christian faith, and national identity.
