Abstract (English): The book focuses on a historical and theological reevaluation of the Council of Nicaea of 325, based on contemporary sources and recent research. It challenges the traditional narrative that presents the presbyter Arius as the leader of an Arian heresy defeated by Nicene orthodoxy, instead showing a complex dispute among various theological currents, in which figures such as Eusebius of Caesarea played a crucial role. The work thoroughly examines the intellectual context, chronology, and theological vocabulary prior to the Council, as well as the process of consolidating Nicene orthodoxy led by Athanasius of Alexandria. Additionally, it incorporates methodological perspectives from the social sciences to understand group formation and power dynamics during this period. This research offers new solutions and a profound insight into the doctrinal crisis of the fourth century, serving as an important reference for future studies. [Extracted from the article]
[Extracted from the article]
