Abstract (English): The article focuses on formalizing the concepts of structural heterogeneity and development styles proposed by Aníbal Pinto through a dynamic two-sector model with endogenous labor reallocation. Contrary to the traditional dualistic view of Lewis and Fei-Ranis, Pinto's approach considers structural heterogeneity as a persistent feature of peripheral economies, where the interaction between concentrated accumulation and productive linkages determines distinct dynamic regimes: a virtuous circle (stable productive integration) and a vicious circle (bi-stability with path dependence). The model identifies structural conditions and key parameters that explain the persistence or overcoming of productive and wage gaps, and suggests that the transformation toward inclusive development requires simultaneous and coordinated policies that modify the productive structure, the labor market, and income distribution. Finally, the importance of the State as an active agent to induce transitions between development styles and overcome structural traps is emphasized. [Extracted from the article]
