| Abstract (English): | In the unpublished youth diaries (1894-1900) of the Polish harpsichordist, pianist and composer Wanda Landowska (1879-1959) we find valuable information hitherto unknown. Among them, the considerable number of female presences found in its pages is striking. Female companions, writers, performers or composers who were an important inspiration for the young Landowska. With the aim of making some of them known and noting certain contextual aspects, we present here a classification of them in the following sections: one that introduces the figure of Landowska; the next discusses her positioning as a woman and artist in her early diaries and the pivotal role of her mother; a third block is devoted to her companion Hermine Schwarz and the Berlin music scene at the Hochschule für Musik; then a fellow resident who was inspiring in character and attire is introduced; the next block is devoted to the women writers and poets Landowska read in those years; and the last gives an account of some of the female performers and composers she met between 1895 and 1900. The conclusions synthesise the compiled materials and point to the relevance of these presences in Landowska's life and artistic destiny. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | En los diarios inéditos de juventud (1894-1900) de la clavecinista, pianista y compositora polaca Wanda Landowska (1879-1959) encontramos valiosas informaciones desconocidas hasta la fecha. Entre ellas, llama la atención la considerable cantidad de presencias femeninas halladas en sus páginas. Compañeras, escritoras, intérpretes o compositoras que fueron una importante inspiración para la joven Landowska. Con el objetivo de dar a conocer algunas de ellas y anotar ciertos aspectos contextuales, presentamos aquí una clasificación de las mismas en los siguientes apartados: uno que introduce la figura de Landowska; el siguiente habla de su posicionamiento como mujer y artista en sus primeros diarios y el papel fundamental de su madre; un tercer bloque está dedicado a su compañera Hermine Schwarz y la escena musical berlinesa en la Hochschule für Musik; luego se presenta a una compañera de residencia inspiradora en carácter y atuendo; el siguiente bloque está dedicado a las escritoras y poetisas que Landowska lee en aquellos años y el último da a conocer algunas de las intérpretes y compositoras que conoció entre 1895 y 1900.
