Abstract (English): The article discusses various issues related to the situation of the Catholic Church in the contemporary world. The Holy See denounces that almost 400 million Christians, approximately one in seven, suffer persecution or violence, constituting the most persecuted religious community in the world, with almost 5,000 believers killed in 2025 because of their faith. The document also reports on peace initiatives promoted by Catholic institutions, including a declaration by more than one hundred Catholic universities in Latin America and the Caribbean committed to building a culture of peace, justice, and fraternity. Additionally, it highlights statements from bishops in the United States on human dignity in migration operations and in Chile on the need to recover social peace through political dialogue and mutual respect. La Santa Sede denuncia que casi 400 millones de cristianos, aproximadamente uno de cada siete, sufren persecución o violencia, constituyendo la comunidad religiosa más perseguida del mundo, con casi 5.000 creyentes asesinados en 2025 por causa de su fe. El documento también reporta sobre iniciativas de paz promovidas por instituciones católicas, incluyendo una declaración de más de cien universidades católicas de América Latina y el Caribe comprometidas con la construcción de una cultura de paz, justicia y fraternidad. Además, se destacan pronunciamientos de obispos en Estados Unidos sobre la dignidad humana en operativos migratorios y en Chile sobre la necesidad de recuperar la paz social mediante el diálogo político y el respeto mutuo. El artículo también menciona la misión del arzobispo Paul Richard Gallagher a Ucrania para conmemorar aniversarios de la presencia católica en ese país y transmitir la cercanía del Papa en medio de conflictos militares.
