Abstract: The article focuses on the technological innovations that have engulfed modern society. The article references several books which focus on digital media in society including "The Soft Age," by Paul Levinson, "Remediation: Understanding new media," by Jay Bolter and Richard Grusin and "Ser Digital," by Nicholas Negroponte. Each of the books addresses the evolution of technology that has occurred rapidly over the years. It also presents information on concepts such as media ecology, remediation and mobile television.
