| Abstract (English): | The radio in Latin America and the Caribbean, Mapa interactivo, is a collective produced in 19 countries and was finished being written in April of 2012. The study consists of an interactive map and a report in PDF form that describes how the radios are called in the region, its number on AM and FM, the frequency distribution and the agencies charged with regulating them in participating countries. Each one of the tables and graphs cited allows the visualization of the current reality of Latin American and Caribbean radio. The end of the article presents the views of the 19 authors of the study regarding the major needs that the radio stations have in their different communities. [TRANSLATION] |
| Abstract (Spanish): | La radio en América Latina y el Caribe, Mapa interactivo, es una construcción colectiva realizada en 19 países y se terminó de escribir en el mes de abril del año 2012. El estudio consta de un Mapa interactivo y un informe en PDF que describe la forma como son llamadas las radios en la región, su número en AM y FM, la distribución de frecuencias y los organismos encargados de regular las mismas en los países participantes. Cada una de las tablas y gráficas citadas permite visualizar Ia realidad actual del dial latinoamericano y caribeño. Al final del presente texto se comparte la mirada de los 19 autores del estudio sobre las principales necesidades que en sus pueblos tienen las estaciones de radio. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |

O estudo consiste em um mapa interativo e um relatório em PDF que descreve como são chamadas as emisoras radiais na regiaão seu nümero em AM e FM, a sua distribuição de freqüências e os organismos reguladores dos países participantes em si. Cada uma das tabelas e gráficos mostra a realidade atual do América Latina e do Caribe de discagem.
