Abstract (English): It is vitally important that ecocritical conversations take on a new transnational form and that practitioners contextualize profoundly local cultural expressions against the backdrop of broader, global, and planetary contexts. Latin American philosophers and cultural critics make a fundamental contribution to the construction of a transnational ecocriticism because, from a peripheral positionality, their texts comment upon the construction of knowledge, philosophies, and imaginaries that still govern human organization. The present article explores how the theoretical postulations of prominent intellectuals like Antonio Cándido, Enrique Dussel, Leonardo Boff, Enrique Leff and Walter Mignolo, can be applied to literary texts in ways that allow critics to forge a richer, more inclusive, and nuanced, ecocritical practice. Abstract (Spanish): Es de vital importancia integrar en la conversación ecocrítica prácticas transnacionales que contextualicen en panoramas amplios, globales y planetarios la comprensión de expresiones culturales provenientes de espacios locales. Las voces de filósofos y críticos culturales latinoamericanos ofrecen un aporte fundamental a la construcción de tal ecocrítica, ya que sus discursos comentan desde una posicionalidad periférica la construcción de saberes, filosofías e imaginarios que todavía rigen la organización humana. El presente artículo explora las posibilidades de aplicar al estudio de textos literarios las postulaciones teóricas de destacados intelectuales, tal y como Antonio Cándido, Enrique Dussel, Leonardo Boff, Enrique Leff y Walter Mignolo. De tal manera, se forjaría una práctica ecocrítica más rica, inclusiva y matizada. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
