| Abstract (Spanish): | Una de las grandes cruzadas dirigidas desde el Pacto Verde Europeo va contra los residuos y pretende mejorar en lo posible su gestión, pues la ingente acumulación de residuos es uno de los problemas más importantes a los que se enfrenta actualmente la humanidad. En ese contexto, el presente Reglamento fue creado para actualizar el marco técnico-normativo de los traslados de residuos, incorporando en ellos los principios básicos de la economía circular ya presentes en el régimen general recogido por la Directiva Marco de residuos 2008/98. El resto de las previsiones refundidas por este Reglamento se sostienen sobre las obligaciones de notificación, información y autorización diseñadas al efecto sobre estos traslados desde 1989, año en que se firma el Convenio de Basilea sobre el Control de los Movimientos Transfronterizos de los Desechos Peligrosos y su Eliminación.
