Abstract: The article discusses the implications and benefits of the Abanaki Corp.'s two oil skimmer in the ocean-front remediation project of Mactec Inc. in the U.S. According to the author, the oil skimmers were used in two different recovery wells to easily pump out oil without disturbing the growth of coral reefs. Mactec project engineer Stephen Hanks noted that the system runs for approximately 16 hours a week and has been working will for their operations which proved to be effective. It also offers information on the previous technology used by Mactec which has failed and disappointed.
