| Summary: | The Master's thesis deals with the comparison of internet banking websites and security of the banks NLB and DBS. To assure an easier comparison, we divided the internet banking based on the users - personal and business. We have chosen to address this topic to present internet banking and the quality and security of the websites, since internet banking plays a vital role in our everyday routine. Due to a great amount of banks offering internet banking, the users put emphasis especially on the quality of the internet banking websites, as well as the security of the given websites and the data-processing. The subject of the thesis was internet banking, websites, their quality and security. We compared internet banking websites for private use – NLB Klik and DBS NET – on one hand and internet banking websites for business use – NLB Proklik and DBS PRONET – on the other hand. For qualitative analysis the following criteria was used: design, content, navigation, applicability and technical aspects. The quality of the websites is vital for the users, nevertheless, their security has an even greater importance. Thus we compared different ways of logging into the internet banking system of NLB and DBS, since the safety mechanisms may differ significantly. When logging into NLB Klik and NLB Proklik a qualified digital identifier was used, while for the entry into DBS NET and DBS PRONET the OTP-generator was applied. Both bank institutions are perfectly aware of the importance of the internet banking for their users, as a result, they prioritise the quality and especially the security of their websites. The trust and satisfaction of their users is crucial to them. However, they draw special attention to their users to be precautious when using internet banking. |
