Summary: This paper describes the development and operation of the Technovate 9030 process control simulator program. The equations modeling the Technovate 9030 Educational process control system are presented in this report. The simulator program was developed using a linearized dynamic model of the Technovate 9030 system equations. The model was implemented on an Arche Rival 286 personal computer using Borland's Turbo Pascal 4.0. Physical measurements were obtained from the Technovate for program development. Solutions to the model were verified using Mathcad Version 2.0. Example runs of the program showing liquid level system response for both regulatory and servo control are included. A three-term PIO controller is used to compensate for disturbances and responds to set point changes.
