| Summary: | In order to compete more efficiently in the manufacturing and business environment, the integration of all resources involved in designing, marketing, manufacturing, and distributing a product must be achieved. Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP-II) serves as that integrator by providing a consolidated database and methodology that will ensure that all functional elements of a business will be working towards the same goals. The objective of this research report is to examine the purpose and methodology of an MRP-II system in terms of function, mechanics, and the critical inputs/outputs of each MRP-II module. |
