Abstract: In this paper, the difficulties in cutting titanium alloys are analyzed. A method of reducing deformation is put forward. The cutting tool material and the geometrical parameters of the cutting tool are selected for milling TC4. The wear of cutting being studied. Down milling is used in processing the titanium alloy. Reasonable cutting parameters are determined by experiment. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]
