| Abstract: |
The article discusses the IP multicast where end users tune in by registering their interest in the stream with their own router which then registers with all routers back to the origin. It takes a look at key network activities across the market that exemplify the renewed focus on multicast. It notes the acceptance by cable operators, mobile operators and telcos of the IP multicast's ability to enable audiences on the scale of broadcast TV possible with better than broadcast TV resolution. |
