Abstract (English): The Statics course at EAFIT University, like many other higher education basic engineering courses, is assessed by asking students to solve problems that intend to measure their learning in a particular domain area. However, these problems are usually taken from teaching guide books or lecture notes. These types of questions encourage memorization and do not measure other abilities acquired during the learning process. This article shows the results of an study evaluating student learning of Statics using a tool that implements computer-based dynamic assessment. In this approach, different versions of a question are automatically generated and assigned to each student. Results show that the group of students who used the system increased their final scores in Statics. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): La asignatura de Estática como muchas otras asignaturas básicas de la ingeniería se evalúa mediante la solución de ejercicios que permiten evidenciar el aprendizaje de los estudiantes, tradicionalmente los ejercicios son tomados de los libros guías del curso o notas de clase de los docentes. Este tipo de ejercicios favorecen la memorización haciendo que la evaluación pierda sentido pues no se está midiendo la capacidad adquirida en el proceso de aprendizaje. Este articulo muestra los resultados de la experiencia en la evaluación de un grupo de estudiantes de la asignatura de Estática usando un sistema de evaluación que propone ejercicios dinámicos (evaluaciones con diferentes versiones de un mismo ejercicio para cada estudiante) generados por el computador y usando plataformas e-learning.
