These proceedings are the full length versions of papers presented at the 14 th Hypervelocity Impact Symposium. The symposium was held in April 2017 at the University of Kent, Canterbury, United Kingdom. The weeklong meeting was attended by around 120 scientists specializing in the field of hypervelocity impact studies. There were 54 talks, plus various poster presentations. Attendees were from North America, the UK, Europe (including Russia and the Ukraine), and Asia (including China, Japan and Korea). The attendance of 12 Alex Charters Scholarship studentships was an important feature of the meeting, showing that the community has a healthy future. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
