Abstract: This article covers various developments pertaining to the welding industry in the U.S. Magnetek Power Control Systems of Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin has received the ISO 9001 upgrade certification following an audit. According to Peter McCormick, president and general manager of the facility, Magnetek has implemented a quality management system to assure quality products and services. Precision Dynamics Corp. (Predyne) of New Britain, Connecticut has announced preliminary results for the quarter ended January 2000. For the month of December, Predyne reported revenues 22 percent greater than plan, which is highest grossing month in the company's 30-year old history.
