Abstract: A comparison is made of implementations of consistent tangent operators that arise in implicit integration of Von Mises and Drucker-Prager yield criteria. When computing the consistent tangent operator a matrix inversion has to be performed at integration point level. The consequences of different formulations of the consistent tangent operator on the numerical accuracy are assessed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
