| Abstract: | In this paper, super-wideband antenna with reconfigurable characteristics for multiple wireless applications is investigated. Proposed antenna consists of guitar shape radiating patch and chamfered rectangular ground plane with rectangular slot. In order to mitigate the interference caused by existing wireless system (WiMAX, WLAN and downlink satellite system), reconfigurable band stop filters corresponding to interfering bands are generated on the radiating patch by using RF PIN diodes. Antenna covers super-wideband of 3.36–39.61 GHz (ratio bandwidth of 11.78:1) with overall of the dimension 27 × 32 × 0.787 mm3 and occupies comparably less space. Antenna is also investigated in frequency, time and spatial domain with nearly stable radiation patterns with suppression of gain and efficiency at interfering bands. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
