Abstract: The article discusses ethical responsibilities as related to community-engaged computing research and the need for such ethical standards amid technological change occurring in the high technology sector. The article examines conducting research that is in alignment with the social norms of various communities such as universities and corporations, the concept of the partner readiness quiz, and the importance of respect, equality, and value expertise.
