Abstract: This article presents information about vehicle navigation and information systems. Travel in a vehicle has traditionally involved following the directions given by a person, posted along the road, or found from a paper map. With the rapid advance of computer, control, communication, and information technologies, these travel methods will he gradually augmented by much more powerful and convenient ones. The goal of these systems is to guide vehicle occupants to their destinations safely and efficiently, with less congestion, pollution, and environmental impact.
