| Abstract: |
The results of calculations and experimental determination of the neutronics characteristics of the IRT-T research reactor are presented. The IRT-T reactor is a pool reactor with rated thermal power 6 MW(t). The neutronics characteristics of the reactor were determined during the 2016–2017 runs. The calculations were performed using the precision software MCU-PTR with the MDBPT50 baseline nuclear constants. The experimental determination of the reactivity parameters was obtained by analyzing the current values of the reactor's standard control and protection system. Different approaches and methods for determining the efficiency of the reactor controls were considered. The calculations and experimental work were conducted in order to assess the effects of reactivity. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
