Abstract: The article discusses the creation of a single phase cartridge brass alloy called C26000, which was entered as a material in the 2021 International Metallographic Contest. Also cited are the use of Vickers microindenter to engineer the material's microstructures and create the desired images from its recrystallized grains, and the use of color etchants to allow the images to be generated only through light optical microscopy (LOM).
