| Abstract: | Co2MnAl Heusler alloy nanoparticle was synthesized by a facile solid-state reaction method. The structural, morphological, thermal, thermoelectrical, and magnetic properties of Co2MnAl full Heusler alloy have been investigated. The X-ray diffraction data indicates the alloy particles are polycrystalline in nature with a cubic crystal structure. The prepared alloy was thermally stable up to 705 °C, and it is confirmed through thermogravimetric analysis and differential thermal analysis. The temperature-dependent Seebeck coefficient and Hall measurement exhibit the negative carrier concentration; it shows the prepared alloy was an n-type semiconducting nature. The vibrating sample magnetometer data indicated that the alloy particle exhibits soft ferromagnetic nature with low coercivity and a high Curie temperature of 736 K. The Co2MnAl full Heusler alloy will be suitable for spintronics device applications, as it shows high magnetic moment with low coercivity. These results unambiguously indicate that it possesses great advantage for implementation into giant magnetoresistance or tunneling magnetoresistance for next-generation spintronics device application.
