| Abstract: | The article discusses the importance of taking right make or buy decisions for manufacturing companies in Great Britain. To this end, the author notes that most companies have long outsourced transport and distribution, catering, cleaning and security because they have little direct bearing on the products a company makes. Two-thirds of the outsourcing contracts awarded are for information technology, leaving one third for such business process outsourcing as customer relationship management, human resources management, and finance and accounting.
