Abstract (English): The present work constitutes a proposal for an automation system for the process control of the carbonated sludge utilization circuit in the Moa Nickel S.A. Mixed Company, located in the municipality of Moa, Holguín province, belonging to the Nickel Business Group (CUBANIQUEL). The nickel industry plays an important role within the national economy, which is why the efficiency of the operation of the main parameters of the different equipment and facilities that comprise it has a considerable impact on the production of nickel and cobalt. This work is carried out with the objective of designing an automation system for the rejection utilization circuit that allows it to be operated efficiently; In it, the necessary field instrumentation for the main regulation loops involved in the process is proposed and the control architecture design proposal is made based on Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and using the Siemens TIA Selection Tool. A complete list of necessary materials and accessories is additionally generated. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
Abstract (Spanish): El presente trabajo constituye una propuesta de un sistema de automatización para el control de proceso del circuito de aprovechamiento de cienos carbonatados en la Empresa Mixta Moa Nickel S.A, ubicada en el municipio de Moa, provincia de Holguín, perteneciente al Grupo Empresarial del Níquel (CUBANIQUEL). La industria niquelífera desempeña un papel importante dentro de la economía nacional, es por ello que la eficiencia de la operación de los principales parámetros de los diferentes equipos e instalaciones que la componen incide considerablemente en la producción de níquel y cobalto. Este trabajo se desarrolla con el objetivo de diseñar un sistema de automatización del circuito de aprovechamiento de rechazo que permita operar lo de forma eficiente; en el mismo se propone la instrumentación de campo necesaria para los principales lazos de regulación que intervienen en el proceso y se realiza la propuesta de diseño de la arquitectura de control basada en Controladores Lógicos Programables(PLC) y utilizando la herramienta TIA Selection Tool de Siemens se genera adicionalmente una lista completa de materiales y accesorios necesarios.
