Abstract: This article presents information on distributed databases. The importance of information in most organizations bas led to the development of a large body of concepts and techniques for the efficient management of data. A distributed database system consists of multiple databases that are distributed across computers in a communication network. Parallel database systems, which are seeing increased use, may also be designed as a set of databases connected by a high-speed local-area network.
