Abstract: The impact ground pressure has become one of the most significant disasters affecting the operational viability of a mine. Especially in the context of multi-seam mining operations, its induced mechanism is special, which greatly increases the difficulty and complexity of early warning. In this paper, the author employs numerical simulation and theoretical analysis to investigate the subject matter. Taking Xinzhouyao Coal Mine for context, the discrete element approach is employed to simulate and analyze the influence of interlayer cracks, propagation distance, overburden structure of multi-coal seam mining and other factors on vibration wave attenuation. Through analysis, in multi-seam mining conditions, it is found that the vibration wave will attenuate obviously in the process of passing through the rock strata and fissures, and the more serious the damage of the interlayer rock mass and the more fissures, the greater the influence on the attenuation of the vibration wave. This paper presents a summary of the attenuation characteristics of the wave velocity when a seismic source propagates a vibration wave to a roadway. In light of the transmission mechanisms and attenuating properties of seismic waves, an attenuation model for seismic waves traversing rock layers has been developed. Taking into account differences in triggering mechanisms, we have developed a discriminant criterion for identifying rock bursts caused by the combined effect of dynamic and static loads in multi-seam mining. We propose an appropriate approach for monitoring and issuing warnings regarding rock bursts in multi-seam mining operations. The research results have important guiding significance for optimizing the monitoring and early warning method of rock burst and reducing the false alarm rate; it offers a theoretical foundation and technical assistance for impact ground pressure disaster early warning in coal mines situated in comparable geological contexts, which is helpful to improve the safety production level of mines.
