Abstract: This study introduces an alternative approach aimed at refining the characterization of high-frequency acoustic parameters in rigid porous materials. An impedance tube is utilized to analyze absorption coefficients, providing insight into the intricate interplay among acoustic properties, effective density, and the dynamic compressibility of saturated fluid. The inverse problem is addressed using numerical methods to minimize the variance between experimental and theoretical absorption coefficients. Critical parameters, such as tortuosity, viscous, and thermal characteristic lengths, are validated through the δ(1) and δ(2)-terms representations of the viscous skin depths. The optimized parameters derived from both representations are thoroughly compared and discussed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
