Abstract: The article is concerned with a current problem of microwave photonics: development of microwave optoelectronic oscillators. The interest in creating such systems is largely driven by the possibility of generating low phase noise microwave signals. The use of microwave multiplexers as filters in optoelectronic oscillators opens up new possibilities in the construction of optoelectronic oscillators for generating microwave signals at different frequencies. The proposed implementation of an optoelectronic oscillator enables a discrete control of the generated signal frequency or simultaneous signal generation at several given frequencies. The results of experiments on measuring the phase noise of a harmonic signal generated by the developed microwave optoelectronic oscillator are presented: less than 100 dBc/Hz at 1 kHz offset from the carrier and less than 130 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz offset from the carrier. The obtained results confirm the possibility of using multiplexers as bandpass filters, which is attractive in the design and optimization of microwave optoelectronic oscillators.
