| Abstract: |
If a system is excited by a zero-phase sinc pulse, the peak amplitude of its response is equal to the maximum of the correlation between the system's input and the corresponding output signal. The maximum of the correlation function is, in fact, a measure of waveform distortion. Therefore, maximisation of the response peak amplitude leads to systems with minimum distortion. Based on this idea, a method for the design of all-pass equalisers is developed. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
