Abstract: In the present study, a scientific analysis in the field of water-based nanofluid (NF) viscosity has been done using the Scopus database for the period from 2005 to 2023. This analysis provides researchers and future practitioners in the field of water-based NF viscosity with an overview that they can use to familiarize themselves with the best in the field. The number of documents examined in this research is 609 documents, which are used to introduce the top researchers, top countries, most cited articles and active journals in this field. The results of the analyses carried out in this field show the most published documents in the field with 82 articles related to 2021. Kazi, S.N, Sharma, K.V and Said, Z in terms of document publication and Maré T, Yang C and Leong KC are considered the top authors of the studied field in terms of citation. The countries of India, Iran and China are ranked first to third in terms of publication of documents with the publication of 162, 111 and 82 documents, respectively. In terms of citations, Iran, India and Malaysia with 5902, 4773 and 3430 citations are in the first to third ranks of the active countries in the field of study. International Communications in Heat and Mass Transfer and International Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, respectively, have the first place among active journals in the studied field in terms of document publication and citation. The words nanofluidics, nanofluids and viscosity are the first to third most frequent words in the field of water-based NF viscosity with 473, 368 and 302 occurrences, respectively.
