Abstract:	This article reports on the availability of a service from Inforonics which pulls data from Library of Congress (LC) MARC cataloging records and adds the information to a publisher's TitleBank database. The first project generated a special subject catalog without having to key any data manually. Hours were saved via the automatic assignment of subjects to thousands of books--a task few publishers have the time or resources to accomplish. Inforonics is unique among vendors in having a library department to complement their TitleBank service. As a result, they are able to mine the rich data lode provided by such bibliographic sources as LC.
