| Abstract: |
In this paper, we study the output tracking of a 1-D wave equation with velocity recirculation. The performance output is the displacement of an intermediate point, with the tracking signal generated by a finite-dimensional exosystem of unknown initial value. We first construct a disturbance estimator and an observer to estimate the disturbance and the states of the system, respectively. Next, we propose a state feedback regulator, which makes the tracking error decay exponentially. Then, in terms of the established observer, we construct an output feedback controller and verify the well-posedness of the closed-loop system. Besides, the performance output efficiently follows the reference signal, demonstrating an exponential tracking behavior. Finally, the outcomes are illustrated by simulations.
