| Abstract: |
Due to the unique and complex geometry, the large irregular copper alloy valve body is difficult to forge. The quality and production cost of large irregular copper alloy valve bodies are primarily influenced by factors such as equipment, materials, molds, and processes. Through finite element simulations, forging experiments, and metallographic analysis, it has been demonstrated that optimizing the placement direction of the initial blank can effectively prevent crack defects and enhance the shape-property synergistic control during the forming process of the large irregular copper alloy valve body. Therefore, when optimizing the forging process, it is essential to consider not only parameters such as blank temperature, mold temperature, and mold movement speed but also the often-overlooked factors, such as the shape, size, and placement direction of the blank. The results provide a cost-effective approach for forging large irregular copper alloy valve bodies and contribute to the methods that improve shape-property synergistic control, which offers significant value for engineering applications.
