| Abstract: |
A new as-cast NiCoCrFeAlTi HEA was successfully developed. The (NiCoCrFe) 90 Al 5 Ti 5 alloy exhibited excellent strength-ductility synergy, attributed to heterogenous deformation-induced (HDI) strengthening and hardening effects arising from its novel double heterostructures, nano-sized L1 2 phase strengthening, and highly coherent interfaces. The double heterostructures consist of macro-scale core-shell structures and multiscale nano-phases. • The strength-ductility synergy in novel NiCoCrFeAlTi HEAs was achieved by simply casting. • A novel double heterostructures were successfully architected. • HDI effect, nano-phase and highly coherent interface were together responsible for the superb overall performances.
