| Abstract: |
An experimental facility has been created at the Institute of Nuclear Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences for simulating pulsed thermal loads using a laser pulse of submillisecond duration pulse. Tungsten was used as the test sample material, for which the surface temperature was determined by pyrometry. The main factors affecting the temperature measurment accuracy by this method are that there is the need to take into account the surface roughness of the samples, and also that the literature contains different emissivity data that are not consistent with each other. However, the results of theoretical simulation showed that these factors have little effect on pyrometry accuracy. Based on of the thermophysical data of tungsten and the parameters of the laser pulse, the temporal dynamics of the tungsten surface temperature during thermal shock are simulated. The obtained experimental data are consistent with theoretical simulation. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
