Abstract: Currently, the National Research Centre "Kurchatov Institute" is developing an accelerator complex (AC) for proton beam therapy as part of the Luch-Proton project. This complex is based on a proton synchrotron designed to accelerate protons to energies ranging from 70 to 250 MeV. A pulsed linear accelerator with spatially homogeneous quadrupole focusing (Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) accelerator) and an operating frequency of 162.5 MHz is proposed as an injector. The RFQ output proton beam parameters are energy of 5 MeV, current of 30 mA, and duration of 1.2 μs. The beam diagnostic system is a key element ensuring the proper functioning of the accelerator complex. To ensure the ability to measure the beam parameters in different parts of the accelerator, it is necessary to use detectors of different types and designs. This work is devoted to the development of a wire profilometer designed for placement in the synchrotron ring and output channels. A description of the concept of the wire profilometer being created, its design, and a 3D model made in the CAD program is presented. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
