| Abstract: | With the construction of the global low-orbit satellite constellation, satellite communication technology has received extensive attention. The receiver is an important part of satellite communication. Classic receivers are large in size, high in power consumption, and poor in scalability. This paper proposes a demodulation algorithm for Split-phase PSK and implements it in FPGA. The algorithm uses the incomplete phase modulation in the Split-phase PSK modulation, thereby eliminating the -phase ambiguity during demodulation with traditional algorithms. Then, we used the FPGA to realize the demodulation algorithm, so that the baseband data can be transmitted to the computer in real-time without occupying the resources of the computer for demodulation. Because the system is integrated on FPGA, only a few components and a very low cost are needed to realize the demodulator, and the algorithm of the demodulator can be dynamically updated. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified by setting up the receiving hardware platform of the low orbit satellite and taking the meteorological satellite NOAA as an example.
