Abstract: Liquid mercury sodium alloys are involuted systems in which a rigid sphere model is used as a reference system with a square well attractive part as a perturbation over it. Thus, the Ashcroft-Langreth partial structure factors are computed, from which the total structure factors are obtained, and these are incorporated to compute the radial distribution functions used to evaluate the coordination numbers and diffusion coefficients. Further, structure factors in the long wave limit are also evaluated, from which compressibilities and velocities of sound are computed. The Bhatia-Thornton correlation functions are also computed and discussed. The comparison is made between the present theoretical results and reported available experimental values, and it is found that the agreement between them is good. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
